Sources of inspiration on data visualization for a jr. programmer?
I'm in the process of designing a program in java whos purpose is to
visualize IT security related data taken from an IDS (snort), to allow for
users to monitor daily activity and trends of customer assets. The program
would be displayed on a monitor for all to see, but I also would like to
be able to allow for quick and easy access to further details to be
accessed through a webpage.
I have been looking through articles on data visualization to try and
spark some ideas and thought that I would also come here to see if any of
you knew of any useful references to spark some inspiration like articles,
lectures or videos. Any other advice or tips would be greatly appreciated.
